Family Law

We listen to your concerns and advise on all aspects of matrimonial disputes including pre-nuptial advice, separation agreements, judicial separation, nullity and divorce.

A relationship breakdown will have serious legal and financial implications for both parties and we advise on the financial relief orders available including maintenance, property adjustment, lump sum, financial compensation and pension adjustment orders. In circumstances where a spouse or ex-spouse has died we can advise on applications for family provision under the Succession Act.

Where there are concerns for the welfare of an individual we advise on injunction proceedings for barring, protection and safety orders.

We advise parents on matters concerning their children, including access, custody, guardianship, paternity, adoption and maintenance issues.

We advise foster parents on matters concerning “guardianship” for their children and related matters for children in their care under a Court Care Order.

If the parties are not married we advise cohabitees on legal issues, including drafting cohabitation agreements and dealing with property disputes on relationship breakdown.

We are experienced in dealing with these issues and can apply the legal requirements and formalities to your particular case so as to advise you appropriately for your circumstances whether you are in Cork or elsewhere in Ireland. We understand each client’s circumstances are different and can arrange an appointment for you at a time and place convenient for yourself including evenings and weekends where appropriate.
